What we take
Everything We
Take Away.
Eight grades come off a normal week. Here is the full list, including the six things we cannot put in the back of a lorry and why.
Waste transfer note with every load Free quotes, price in writing We do the loading, not you Priced by the load, not by the day Same day where we can Loads sorted back at our yard
The eight grades
Sorted Into
Its Own Bay.
Everything that comes back to the yard gets pulled apart into these eight before it goes anywhere else. Keeping them apart on your side costs you nothing and makes the load cheaper on ours.

Will You
Take This?

- AppliancesWashing machines, dryers, dishwashers and cookers, disconnected if it is a plug and a cold tap.
- AsbestosAny form of it. It has to go through a specialist removal contractor with its own paperwork.
- BatteriesCar and household batteries both. Small, easy to forget, and they stop a load being accepted.
- Bricks and rubbleOn its own rather than mixed in, because heavy waste is priced differently to light.
- Cardboard and packagingFlattened if you can. It bales, so it is one of the cheaper grades to take.
- Carpets and underlayRolled and tied where possible. Carpet tiles too.
- Clothes and textilesBagged. Anything still wearable we will tell you about rather than load.
- Fence panels and deckingAs timber, not as green waste. Treated timber will not compost.
- Fridges and freezersTaken, but separately and priced on their own. The gases have to be drawn off first.
- FurnitureSofas, beds, wardrobes, desks and chairs, carried out of the house if that is where it is.
- Garden wasteCuttings, branches, turf and soil. Keep the plastic pots out of it.
- Gas bottlesFull or empty. They are pressurised and they cannot go in a mixed load.
- MattressesWrapped on the way out and kept out of the general load.
- Metal and radiatorsSteel, copper, pipe offcuts and old rads. It goes to be weighed in.
- Paint, oil and solventsHazardous, and one leaking tin contaminates the whole load.
- PlasterboardOn its own, bagged or stacked. Loose in a mixed load it causes a problem at the other end.
- Soil and spoilPriced by weight rather than by the look of the pile.
- Televisions and electricalsHandled as electrical waste rather than tipped in with the rest.
- TimberFloorboards, studwork, pallets and offcuts. It gets chipped.
- TyresEvery tyre has to be logged separately, so they cannot ride along in a mixed load.
