What we do

House
Clearances.

Whole houses or single rooms, after a move, a bereavement or a long overdue clear out. You only have to point at what is going.

Waste transfer note with every load Free quotes, price in writing We do the loading, not you Priced by the load, not by the day Same day where we can Loads sorted back at our yard

The short version

Why People
Ring Us.

A house clearance is rarely only about the rubbish. Most of ours come after a move, a bereavement or a decision to downsize, and the job is as much about doing it quietly and on time as it is about the lorry.

We clear what you want gone and leave what you want kept, lofts, garages and sheds included, and we set aside anything worth passing on rather than loading it. We cover Caterham, Oxted, Godstone and East Grinstead from our base at Paddock Barn, and most three bedroom houses are cleared in a day.

  • We do the loading, you do the pointing
  • Priced by the load, not by the day
  • A waste transfer note by email every time
  • Nothing left standing on your drive

Grades off this job

What Comes
Off It.

Everything we take
  • FurnitureSofas, beds, wardrobes and desks, carried out for you.
  • PackagingCardboard and wrap. Flattened, it is one of the cheaper grades.
  • MetalRadiators, pipe and steel. It goes to be weighed in.
  • TimberFloorboards, studwork, pallets and offcuts. It gets chipped.

How it works

From Phone Call
to Paperwork.

  1. 01

    Call, or Send a Photograph

Tell us what the waste is and where it has to come from. Most jobs we can price on the spot.

  2. 02

We Book a Slot That Suits You

A morning or an afternoon rather than a whole day sat in waiting for us.

  3. 03

We Turn Up and We Load It

Two of us and a van or a cage tipper. You point at what is going and we carry it.

  4. 04

It Goes Back to the Yard, and the Paperwork Follows

Everything is sorted into its own bay, and your waste transfer note comes through by email.

How a collection works

Priced by the load

Pick by Weight,
Not by Eye.

We price by the space a job takes in the lorry, not by the hour and not by the day. Heavy waste fills the weight long before it fills the space, so tell us what it is as well as how much of it there is.

  • 1.5 yd³ Small Load About 15 bin bags A few bits from a garage, one room of boxes, a single old appliance.
  • 3 yd³ Quarter Load About 25 bin bags A bedroom cleared, a small garden tidy, a bathroom strip out.
  • 6 yd³ Half Load About 50 bin bags A kitchen rip out, a garage emptied, a decent builders' call.
  • 9 yd³ Three quarter Load About 75 bin bags A flat cleared, a shop fit out, a loft and a garage together.
  • 12 yd³ Full Load About 100 bin bags A whole house clearance, or an office stripped in one visit.

Questions

Questions People
Ask Us.

Do I need to be there for a house clearance?

No. Plenty of clearances are done with a key from a family member, an agent or a neighbour, and we send photographs when the house is empty.

How long does a house clearance take?

Most three bedroom houses are cleared in a day. A very full house, or one with a packed loft and garage, can take two.

What happens to things that are still usable?

We set them aside and tell you. Furniture and appliances in good order are worth more going to a new home than going in the lorry.

Do you take carpets and curtains?

Yes. Carpets, underlay, curtains, blinds and poles all go, along with anything else you want gone from the house.
