What we do

Garage
Clearances.

The garage you cannot park in, emptied. Furniture, bikes, tools, boxes and years of clutter loaded and taken away, so the garage is a garage again.

The short version

Why People
Ring Us.

Garages fill up slowly. A box after a move, a chair that might come in useful, a bike nobody rides, and after a few years there is no room for the car. Clearing it is a long, dusty job, which is exactly why it keeps getting put off.

We empty it in one visit, sort as we go so you can keep what matters, and sweep the floor before we leave. Garage clearances are a regular job for us around Caterham, Redhill, Godstone and East Grinstead, and most are done in a morning.

  • We do the loading, you do the pointing
  • Priced by the load, not by the day
  • A waste transfer note by email every time
  • Nothing left standing on your drive

Grades off this job

What Comes
Off It.

Everything we take
  • MetalRadiators, pipe and steel. It goes to be weighed in.
  • FurnitureSofas, beds, wardrobes and desks, carried out for you.
  • TimberFloorboards, studwork, pallets and offcuts. It gets chipped.
  • PackagingCardboard and wrap. Flattened, it is one of the cheaper grades.

How it works

From Phone Call
to Paperwork.

  1. 01

    Call, or Send a Photograph

Tell us what the waste is and where it has to come from. Most jobs we can price on the spot.

  2. 02

We Book a Slot That Suits You

A morning or an afternoon rather than a whole day sat in waiting for us.

  3. 03

We Turn Up and We Load It

Two of us and a van or a cage tipper. You point at what is going and we carry it.

  4. 04

It Goes Back to the Yard, and the Paperwork Follows

Everything is sorted into its own bay, and your waste transfer note comes through by email.

How a collection works

Priced by the load

Pick by Weight,
Not by Eye.

We price by the space a job takes in the lorry, not by the hour and not by the day. Heavy waste fills the weight long before it fills the space, so tell us what it is as well as how much of it there is.

  • 1.5 yd³ Small Load About 15 bin bags A few bits from a garage, one room of boxes, a single old appliance.
  • 3 yd³ Quarter Load About 25 bin bags A bedroom cleared, a small garden tidy, a bathroom strip out.
  • 6 yd³ Half Load About 50 bin bags A kitchen rip out, a garage emptied, a decent builders' call.
  • 9 yd³ Three quarter Load About 75 bin bags A flat cleared, a shop fit out, a loft and a garage together.
  • 12 yd³ Full Load About 100 bin bags A whole house clearance, or an office stripped in one visit.

Questions

Questions People
Ask Us.

How long does a garage clearance take?

Most single garages are cleared in a couple of hours and a packed double garage in a morning. We give you a time when we price it.

Can you take old paint and chemicals?

No. Paint, oil, solvents and gas bottles cannot go in a mixed load, so we leave them to one side and tell you where they can go.

Do I need to empty the garage first?

No. Leave everything where it is and show us what is staying. The loading is the job.

Will you take the shelving down?

Yes. Freestanding shelving and benches are taken apart and removed. Anything fixed into the wall we will look at when we price the job.

Tell Us What the Pile Is.

Ring the yard, or send a photograph and we will come back with a price.
