What we do
Loft
Clearances.
Boxes, old furniture and everything that went up the ladder and never came down, carried out of the loft and taken away in one visit.
The short version
Why People
Ring Us.
Lofts are hard work to clear. The hatch is small, the ladder is steep, there is rarely anywhere to stand, and most of what is up there is heavier than it looks. That is usually why it has been left.
We bring the people and the dust sheets, pass everything down carefully, keep anything you want back to one side, and leave the loft empty and swept. We clear lofts across Caterham, Oxted, Redhill and the villages around them from our base at Paddock Barn, and the price is fixed before we start.
- We do the loading, you do the pointing
- Priced by the load, not by the day
- A waste transfer note by email every time
- Nothing left standing on your drive
What it covers
Everything in
One Visit.
-
01
Boxes and storageYears of boxes, crates and bags, passed down and taken away without you climbing the ladder.
-
02
Old furnitureChairs, tables and anything else that went up whole, taken apart in the loft if it has to be.
-
03
Toys, books and keepsakesSorted with you as we go, so nothing you want to keep ends up in the lorry.
-
04
Electricals and old equipmentOld televisions, computers and lamps, handled as electrical waste rather than tipped in with the rest.
-
05
Before a conversionThe loft emptied and ready for the builders, so the conversion starts on the day it should.
-
06
Before a moveUsually the last room to be cleared, done in good time for completion day.

How it works
From Phone Call
to Paperwork.
-
01
Call, or Send a Photograph
Tell us what the waste is and where it has to come from. Most jobs we can price on the spot.
-
02
We Book a Slot That Suits You
A morning or an afternoon rather than a whole day sat in waiting for us.
-
03
We Turn Up and We Load It
Two of us and a van or a cage tipper. You point at what is going and we carry it.
-
04
It Goes Back to the Yard, and the Paperwork Follows
Everything is sorted into its own bay, and your waste transfer note comes through by email.
Priced by the load
Pick by Weight,
Not by Eye.
We price by the space a job takes in the lorry, not by the hour and not by the day. Heavy waste fills the weight long before it fills the space, so tell us what it is as well as how much of it there is.
- 1.5 yd³ Small Load About 15 bin bags A few bits from a garage, one room of boxes, a single old appliance.
- 3 yd³ Quarter Load About 25 bin bags A bedroom cleared, a small garden tidy, a bathroom strip out.
- 6 yd³ Half Load About 50 bin bags A kitchen rip out, a garage emptied, a decent builders' call.
- 9 yd³ Three quarter Load About 75 bin bags A flat cleared, a shop fit out, a loft and a garage together.
- 12 yd³ Full Load About 100 bin bags A whole house clearance, or an office stripped in one visit.
Questions
Questions People
Ask Us.
How do you get things out of a small loft hatch?
Carefully, and in pieces where we need to. Large items are taken apart in the loft and passed down, and we protect the landing and stairs on the way out.
Do I need to sort through the loft first?
Not unless you want to. Tell us what to look out for and we will put anything that looks worth keeping to one side for you to check.
How much does a loft clearance cost?
It depends on how much is up there and how heavy it is. We price it by the load, and a photograph from the hatch is usually enough for a fixed price.
Can you clear the loft before a conversion?
Yes. Give us the date the builders start and we will have the loft empty before then.
